There will be a demonstration on Earth Day April 22nd, where concerned people will be gathering on the front steps of the Nova Scotia Legislature bringing a sample of water to leave on the steps to show the importance of preventing both the exploration for and extraction of ‘Shale Gas’. If you would like to find out more information about this you can contact the Ecology Action Centre to find out what you can do to represent for the water too!
On Mother’s Day, in honour of the Earth Mother, there will be a public Walk for the Water held in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax at 1:00 pm. This walk will end at the Mi’kmaq Friendship Centre for a potluck meal. If you would like to contribute to the potluck, you can drop the food off at the centre at 11:00 am and then head down to the park for the walk.
See you there!!
