YYT Frequently Asked Questions

Yogaheart Yoga Training for Non-Teachers – FAQ

The Yogaheart Yoga Training (YYT) is a 100-hour course designed to be a supportive, transformative journey into yoga and conscious living.

When is it?

Nov 2019 – May 2020. One weekend a month. Specific dates are listed below.

Who is it for? Who is eligible?

Interest in yoga and some experience is required. Various situations are considered for eligibility. The goals of this course are not the performance of advanced asana, but moreso a readiness to embark on a journey that brings life into a more conscious and grounded place. If you are unsure whether you meet the eligibility, you are welcome to request a private meeting to discuss it.

What is required to participate?

We ask that participants are physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy enough to commit to this transformative process.

What certification will I receive?

Upon completion of the full 100 hours and all associated homework exercises, participants receive a 100-hour YYT Certificate of Completion.

If you later choose to embark on the Yogaheart Yoga Teacher Training program, the 100-hour program may be added to the 200-hour course upon completion, creating a specialized 300-hour advanced diploma signifying a high level of training and commitment to the study and practice of yoga. At that point, you would be able to register with Yoga Alliance at the 300-hour certification level. Yoga Alliance is an standardizing organization in the US recognized internationally for setting educational and training standards for Yoga.

What does the tuition?

The cost of YYT is $1950 plus tax. Tuition includes all instruction, reading materials, a natural rubber yoga mat, and a 50% discount on weekly Yogaheart classes and private sessions.

Payment schedules of 2 or 4 equal payments are available.

Do you offer scholarships or financial support?

A limited number of scholarships may be available depending on the situation so that all interested participants have an opportunity to take the training, while also contributing to the program in other ways. You are welcome to request a private meeting to discuss options.
